Sorry for the delay in responce.

I use 87 octane. I'm sure that when boat season comes back around I'll use 89.

The only way your going to get mid teens for hwy mpg. IS if you buy this guys 2011. You need to take advice from someone that has the truck your TALKING about. The 13 and 14 with a 8 speed is so much better then the older trucks. I get 2l on the hwy at 70 +.I average 17. Unless your getting the basic truck you should get the 8 speed.

I usually get around 14-16 mpg in the city and 18-20 mpg on the highway. I use mostly 89 octane.
