Hey everyone,

Hopefully an easy question for you... I have an '10 Ram 1500 that I am looking to either get an aftermarket HU for, or have the U-connect device installed/flashed. Does anyone know how much it costs to have it installed? I drive a lot for work and would prefer to use bluetooth over an aux cable plus hands-free calling would be much safer.

Also, if I decide to go with the HU over getting the U-connect, what din size does our Rams accept?

Well one dealer finally got back to me and they priced the installation of the U-Connect, bluetooth, and Iphone integration for $593+ tax for parts and labor.

Looks like I'm going to go with just getting an aftermarket HU...

 

Sometimes that is the best thing to do.

 

I completely agree. I know you can get much better features/options with aftermarket, I was just curious on the price because if it was around 50% price difference, I would just go with the U-Connect. Absolutely absurd what they charge for the U-Connect...
