Default Do I need an extended warranty on my 2015 RAM 2500 Cummins?

It would cost about $2100 for the longest term, which is I think about 8 years/120K miles?

How long do you plan on owning the truck?

The plan is a long time, but the last two have been so much trouble that they had to go after a couple years each. Hopefully the RAM will be better, but I am scared! I just got a quote from Chrysler Warranty Direct for $1985 for 8/120K. I have a 2500 Cummins. She said they are expecting a rate increase shortly, so anyone on the fence better decide shortly. I think I will buy it for that price.
Thanks for the response.

That's a good price if it's bumper to bumper. Not so good if power train only.

I got a 10/120 bumper to bumper last August when I bought mine for a $1700.

I've purchased something like 14 new vehicles in my life if you count my ex's and sin e I'm ASE certified I never bothered. But diesels with all the new ERA crap are a whole new ballgame. Not to mention that fancy gauge cluster is around $3300 to buy, before labor and IS NOT powertrain. I think anyone planning to own over 3 years needs to...

if you plan n keeping the truck long enugh, i say go for it. Dont forget to negotiate, they are not going to loose a sale because they didnt want to negotiate price of warranty
