I am planning to buy a truck 1st choice was, 08, 07 then I was just looking at latter models like 10's 11's 12's and noticed issues
I have a a question on 2011 models, I have been reading about there is a big issue on the TIPM and its about 1100.00 to repair.. now Im guessing a dealer has to do this probably due to the programing of it if there is any?

I also was reading about bad transmission issues

any thoughts??

Have a 2011 and have had no real issues. I also have not heard of any constant and consistent issues with the TIPM either. There have been some but nothing excessive.

 

I have heard of more problems with some of the other model lines from FCA and not so much from Ram. Being a computer controlled module which all vehicles have now, they can fail.
