Back up camera

Just bought an ‘11 Ram 1500 with a back up camera in the tailgate handle. When in bright sun the camera completely washes out. Anyone know if there is anyway to filter out any of the light or maybe add a shade of some sort for the lens?

You can try to make a shade but I hard to do it without blocking the view. I have been using mine on my 2011 for 7 years and just got used to it. All the backup cameras are susceptible to it.
