Noticed first my Third Brake light was leaking. Seen a lot of Info on the internet about this.. Also four people I talked with experienced this also. And a friend had to get rid of his because of the stink.. After dealer told me he could seal it with Silicone which is what they do to all leaking lites or replace with new light. So a KNOWN PROBLEM. SILICONE attracts moisture. I used beutal tape. That fixed that leak. Still getting water in the truck and low and behold the rear electric sliding window which might have been opened once in its life was leaking around the bottom corner of the Slider window. Bottom line is the window was defective so said the dealer. My insurance paid for the rear window replacement and is willing to pay for a carpet change minus my deductible . Guess what the carpet has been discontinued and there are none to be found even aftermarket. Why is this? Now I am trying to get answers from RAM. Truck has 30,000 miles on it. Anyone run into this problem. Search of this web site has provided no info on water leaks that I can find. Thanks for hearing me whine. Love my truck but not enjoying the stink?

 

no water leaks on our 2011 from the third brake light that i am aware of...the dealer replaced a bulb once but you got me to thinking though, i will have to take a closer look. it is also low mileage truck.

 

I have an 09 and mine was leaking at the 3rd brake light and the Satellite radio antenna. I did the weather strip tape modification and put black silicone around the base of antenna.

it seems Ram like to discontinue parts left and right
