Default Any transmission problems on 2017-2018 1500s

I bought a used 2500 6.4 liter 4X4 with about 18K miles on it about a year ago & loved it until I was going 75MPH on I15 when it slammed from OD into 3rd. It then went into "limp home mode" & I herded it to the dealer. Dealer says it's the solenoid pack & changed it out. Everything was wonderful for about a week until it did the same thing again and I got it back to the dealer. This time they said it was the valve body and finally replaced that after two weeks of sitting. Why two weeks? Their transmission guy was covered up (as was every other Dodge dealer's in ABQ) and Dodge would only let them order two valve bodies per month. I was number three for the month. I read a bit and found that this was an endemic problem with the 2500 gasser transmissions as I had already surmised. I traded the truck for a Ford the same day I got it back from Dodge.
Fast forward; I no longer need a 3/4 ton and am looking to go back to a 1500. With much trepidation I'm considering looking at 17-18 Dodge 1500 4X4s with the 5.7 liter hemi. Is this the same tranny I had in the 2500, and if so, did Dodge ever fix the problem?

the 1500s have the 8 speed, iirc the 2500 is still using a 6 speed, so NO they are not the same transmission. I have not heard of any common or recurring issues with the trans and it is used in large number of vehicles not just the RAMS and not just by chrysler.
