Default Rear end “whine” and some vibration at speed?

2013 1500 CC 4x4 hemiwith 108k miles. I’ve noticed a whine from what seems to be the rear as I climb in speed. Almost the sound of tires whining on the asphalt but a bit more metallic.

I have new bilstein shocks, new Michelin LTX defender tires and have even rotated and rebalanced them and the whine with vibration stays the same. Oh new brakes and rotors all around too (the vibration is under acceleration and coasting, not braking)

I notice the whine as I climb up in speed from 20mph through freeway speeds. The vibration comes and goes but is usually consistent between 68-75mph (goes away at 80+). Sometimes I’ll notice a vibration even at street speeds of 35-50 though it’s harder.

any ideas what to look for?

the whine may be the crown and pinion. pinion and diff side bearings tend to growl while the crown and pinion whine. the pinion is loaded under acceleration.

where do you feel the vibration...thru the floor or in the steering wheel? driveshaft angles change under load and decell so maybe remove the driveshaft and check the ujoints for tightness or play
