My experience with Dodge Dealership and small claims court.
I agree and from what I understand around 2014 Dodge went to an electronic power steering system, eliminating the pumps/reservoirs. I told this to the Judge also he replied with "That's hear Say". Blows my mind how the courts look out for Big Business.
I gave the Judge a copy of Info that I found online on Dodge Ram History and you are correct it states they went to electric ps for fuel savings, however I also gave him copies of info that I found on the Dodge Forum site of people having the same issues with the leaks when the seals were not replace at the dealerships. Apparently the courts have ruled that info on such sites is all hear say, even if I experience the same issue's which IMO is BS and the courts/laws looking out for Big Business which is why I started this post so others seeking information would be aware of this. I'm sure Dodge was interested in increasing fuel savings but I find it hard to believe they weren't aware of these leaking issues, yes my speculation. Like you stated I paid for a repair the first time and I did not get one. I had the documentation, paperwork for them to repair the leak for the dollar amount that I paid, which IMO is contract that the Judge would not take into consideration. Now lets say I decided after the Truck was repaired that I only wanted to pay for half the cost, the dealership would have taken me to court and rightly so I would have been ordered to pay the full amount. IMO the Judge did not uphold the contract when it came to the dealership.
