I like the extra storage in rear fenders and hope their doors don't leak

The variable valve timing,
dual long-short runner intake manifold
and added compression ratio
to the 5.7 V8 are all welcome if they are durable

The above engine changes allow the MDS to work up to higher speeds
and the slightly better aero Cd (0.42 from 0.46 of the 2007 and 0.52 of the 2002)
also helps the MDS stay on to higher speeds

Will this 2009 Ram sell well enough to pull Chrysler out of its present financial hole?
I am worried that it won't.

Since they put the shifter like that. I think it would be nice to have a bump shift. I don't know what's it's called maybe auto/stick. My Mom's van has one and it's nice. Just push it over from drive and bump up or down the gears.

a video of the 2009 Ram with the longhorn cow herd

you have to enter your 'region' on the first page
before you go to the video on the 2nd page

new 2009 Ram is said to be the most resistant to 'freeway hop'
of all the present pickups

I guess it always takes a while to get used to something new. It looks OK, but I have a feeling that the new design will grow on me in time. The truckkinda looks a little like a Ford and the front end slightly resembles a Toyota Tundra.I myself think that the best looking trucks are the 2nd generation rams, but I am slightly bias since I own one. I have to say that a Ram R/T with a 380 HP Hemi has me excited about whats to come out of these new trucks. A single cab, electric blue Ram R/T would suit me just fine lol.

Default Dodge is following the Ford F150 formula.

Dodge is following the Ford F150 formula. Less truck more SUV. Dodge was the last truck company to hold out and offer a real honest pickup truck. Not a SUV like truck with all the foo-foo gadgets. I wonderif the 2500/Power Wagon will still be a hardcore truck?? Doesnt the world have enough SUV trucks like the Ridgeline or Lincoln luxo/ute trucks??

the two mode hybrid
that uses the new automatic transmission with twin DC motors built-in
in the joint venture factory with BMW and General Motors
will be in the Durango late in 2008
and the pickup Ram version early in 2009

...but this will mainly improve city driving MPG
