Default 2009 PM comparison test

Wow, so if I understand this correctly, the Nissan Titan, which took FIRST the previous 2 years, is still holding at 3rd, with a 5 yr old design. And whats this?? Its faster 0-60 than the new Ram? How can this be?? And look again-the Ram has the tow rating of a Rav 4. But its all good-cause women need trucks too.

Well I don't know if trust those guys... although I do like where the friggin jap junk tundra placed I know the towing cap isn't that low. I thought it was like 8100 lbs or something???
And also, did you notice the gear ratios they used? Dodge, Ford, and Chevy used nothing lower than a 3:55... The 'yota had 4:30s!! Holy! no wonder the pig did so well in acceleration times... A Power Wagon doesn't even have gearing that low!

It will not be. That is why I don't pay much attention to these mags. My 04 QC Hemi took a Nissan Titan from the light all the way through 60 where he just gave up. I was really surprised after all the hype I had "read" about how quick they were - I have had closer races with Chevy trucks. So the ONLY way a Titan could beat the 09 Ram (with more HP than my 04) is if its modded and the 09 is stock. The R/T 09 Ram does 0 to 60 in 5.7 seconds, just a RC should be able to do a 6 second 0 to 60 and I have not seen a (stock)Titan anywhere near those numbers. CAre to cite such numbers for me? I would worry about a RC Tundra being very close yes, a Titan - never. Further the RC 09 Ram can tow 91000lbs, care to cite some Rav 4 towing numbers? Thanks for being in so tune with what women want in a truck though......

The 275-60SR-20 tires on the Ram really hurt it in the towing rating
and this may have been the factor that let the F150 win on points,
and may have also reduced the acceleration results of the Ram

Good point. Its amazing you know, the Titan 5.6 isn't significantly smaller than the Hemi 5.7. Yet, despite its DOHC 4V per cyl it still comes up about 30HP shy. Even more interesting, the Toyota 5.7L with its DOHC 4V technology *still* comes up power shy of the pushrod cam in block 2V Hemi's power.
Too bad they didn't put the manual in the Hemis, I can imagine how much fun your six speed is with that 4.7L - Enjoy

It's bad timing for Dodge to release the Ram when the new F-150 is being released. Whether you like Ford or not the F-150 is still a heavy weight in the truck market.

but when people cross shop them, they will notice that the ram is indeed the better truck.

see this stuff just always ticks me off. I bought what i bought cuz i liked it. it had the options i wanted and drives great. i don't talk **** on other brands.. funny thing is because i don't have to. anyone who takes a non biased opinion and actually knows about automobiles and looks over trucks will realize that the dodge pickups are in the running for top dog as are ford and chevy. the toyota and nissans fall behind

there is one huge flaw in nissan and toyotas design. they took a half ton an beefed it up. which is stupid for towing. just wait lemme tell you this. i gaurantee five six years from now when toyota people who have used that truck the way toyota advertises and rates it for that thing will not last outside of 60k miles. the things they beefed for it will be ok but other things will just start to fall apart.

dodge ford gm don't need to beef the hell outta the half ton for towing. they have the three quarter and one ton trucks to pick up that part of the market. somethign the morons at toyota and nissan havn't figured out yet.
