Long story short, I test drove the new ram with my wife when I was home on leave and absolutely love it. I'm using the military purchase program over here and I'm torn between the red and the blue. I want the red if its bright enough but the blue is awesome.

Can anybody post pictures of their own truck or maybe take some pics at a dealership of the red sport and blue sport?

You can't get the flame red on the quad cab Sport any more. They now have inferno red, which is almost like a maroon. I was really upset when I found this out, can't understand why they decided to go with Inferno Red instead of Flame Red, when it was such a popular color.

 

While flame is popular I think you will find many that like the inferno red just a much. 09 is the first year they offer a sport with inferno red. If you wanted inferno in the past you could not get a sport model (excluding the 06 SRT).

 

I dont have pics of a red sport what about a red slt and a blue sport the red on the slt looks exactly the same as what I saw at the dealer.

 

So the red on your old truck is similar to the new paint? I know the 09 red is a little darker though.

It looked the same to me with a little more sparkle like the blue.

 

That red you show is Flame Red not the Inferno Red available now, on a side note I still think the best blue was the Intense Blue that I had on my '98 Ram.

 

The intense blue changed to Electirc blue. I love that color. I have the Partiot Blue on my 2008. Never been a fan of red on anything but a Lambo or a Ferrari. I dunno, just never like that color. Also, red is very common for showing dullness and more so with Fords red looks orange under flourescent lights. However, nothings hotter than a Marinello in torch red!! Ahhh love it....lol
I know you said you were getting red. That's fine bro, two each his own. Just letting you know why I never had any pics and if they do make a brighter red, you gotts keep up on the waxing or it will appear duller than most other colors. It's like Black, always needs wax to be a showy glossy look. Maybe they changed their pigmentation, but i doubt it.

Congrats on the near future purchase and I'm off to BTC in Jan.-'09 Not looking forward to that crap! Can't wait for AIT. Doin artillery. Going back getting my Engineering degree. Most people are reading this thinking WTF is he talking about...lol

 

artillery? sweet I have two friends in artillery (O and E) I shoulda been a chopper pilot! Nah I like my job, somebody's gotta protect the Air Force.

Good luck man, the army's gone soft in their basic training these days. I'm sure that's gonna **** a lot of people off on here but I've got proof. You should have no problem knocking it out and moving on with your career.
