lol its got a lifetime warranty anyways.
If you use it for work you can not wait for a break in. You break it in on the first day.

Congratulations jram! Towing so soon, I don't know, but wow, taking your leather-seated truck into the woods hunting? You must not hunt like I do... get things all messy, and if I kill something, blood, etc. everywhere. That's what I keep my old '93 Dakota for. Couple years ago, put friend's wild hog in the bed - one shot, hauled that rascal all over west Georgia, then to Atlanta area so he could have the head mounted. Sorry, getting side-tracked about hunting.

Anyway, y'all boys are really giving me the fever for a Ram. Drove a Tundra a couple days ago, does not compare to the Ram I drove! Except - for Toyota's reputation and resale value. Still, for me, it's Dodge! Man, gotta love those new Rams!

stu, I think you will get a great deal when you get home! I've heard rebated vary by dealer, not certain, but push real hard when dealing.

Okay, first off, Chrysler is sitting on hundreds of thousands of leftover 08's so they are delaying any custom builds and certain line-ups. They are already in the process of cutting hundreds of jobs!

Now, did you really think that you were going to be able to walk into a dealership, order a truck with a custom build sheet and drive it home the same day?...lol A build sheet for a vehicle can take up to 8 weeks before it arrives at the dealership! I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for those to be here anytime soon!

Mine took 3 weeks and it was a custom build.

Towing anything before the 500 mile break in destroys any lifespan your engine had.

and the sport seats are leather trimmed which is better then fully rapped seats cause you dont slide around.

I think it depends on what you order, some have got them in less than 6 weeks. In my case, its been 12 weeks since I ordered a RC 4x4 Sport and I am still waiting

Due to my advanced age and general run down condition I can't remeber how to upload pictures. Could someone remind and old man how to do this? Thanks.

StupidRope- The deal was that Bluebonnet Dodge in New Braunfels, TX gave me employee pricing + their $1k dealer cash back + the $1k rebate for a total of $7704 discount. The $4k cash back I mentioned earlier in the thread starts Dec 1 but dealers are not required to give it to the customer. It is additional incentive to the dealer.

TXcharger07-I used my better judgement and towed the trailer with the old 99 QC workhorse and left the 09 home this trip. I don't think it would have had any problems but hey it's new why take that chance when I had another truck available?

MacDak- I was born at night, but it wasn't last night! Hell no I don't use my new leather seated truck for hunting. The trailer I wanted to tow has an 04 Yamaha Rhino and 2 08 Yamaha Grizzly 350's on it just for that purpose. The truck gets parked at the ranch house and only get's moved when we head for la casa!

dirtydog- I've special ordered at least 6 of my last 10 trucks. I know how it works. Dealer told me 6-8 weeks but because of the leather situation they could not give me an eta if I special ordered so I bought the one off the lot. Did not expect to drive it home that day until they made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Someone remind me how to upload pics and I'll get some posted. Thanks, Jeff.

use photobucket.com to upload them

and then it will give you an option to put them on to websites/forums and click it and paste it in here.

hahaha glad you listened to my 19-year old advice

Red, Blue or Orange is where me and the family are at. Daughter likes the Orange, son likes the Blue, wife and I like all three. Just going to have to get them to line them up for me to decide.
