Angry Can't say how bummed I am!

Been waiting for November to get here so I could finally order my Sport crew with the ram box but have not seen it on the build your own yet. I sent email to Dodge to find out what the hold up is and was told that Chrysler has not determined a release date yet for the ram box. For 2 months I have been sitting here with a $50k pre approved loan that expires on 12/18 and now find out that I can't even order the truck I want. I just can't say how pissed I am to watch Chryslers CEO sit up there on capital hill whinning about needing a bail out when they are sitting on their damn bail out - the ram box. I hope congress tells them to eat sh_t and doesn't give them a dime. Now my choices are settle for less than I want or do without for how long???? No one seems to know. I was told by 3 different dealers over a month ago they had ram box trucks on the way but no one of them has seen them yet. So not only has chrysler lied to their customers, they even lie to their dealers. Sorry for the rant but I am really pissed about this I leave in 3 days for a hunting trip and was planning on taking the new ram pulling the trailer with the 4 wheelers. Now I'm stuck buying one off the lot with options I don't want and don't want to pay for. I also like the new hummer H3T but you have to buy the luxury addition to get the V8 engine and still it will only tow 5900lbs. Has 300hp, and 350lb/ft torque. No, I'm not really in the mood for a toyota, ford, gmc, chevy, nissan or any of the others. All good trucks but not what I wanted or am looking for. My wife is telling me to go ahead and get the truck I want except for the ram box and when it does come out if I still want it as bad as I do now, she would agree with me trading in for the truck with the ram box. Sounds great when your pissed off, but damn, you know how much I would loose doing that in 2-3 months. Any way, back to the Cowboys game, at least they are winning! Jeff.

You can be mad, but the Ram box is NOT their bail out lol

At least the 09s were out in Sept. Ford delayed theirs.

94rt10ohio, I agree with you on the ram box not being their bail out, but I really do believe they will sell these as fast as they can build them at first. I was just frustrated and tired of waiting. I am also tired of watching the govt give our hard earned money away. I do not believe and company deserves to be bailed out period. Taxes collected by the govt are to maintain our fighting forces, and infastructure, schools, etc. Things that benifit all Americans, not just those that can afford a new car or truck to to invest in the stock market. With all that said, there is good news. Just now talked with a dealer close to my house and was told the ram box was release today for a limited run. And on top of that, after the first of Dec there is going to be a $4000 rebate instead of the current $1000. So I am meeting this guy at 2pm cst to test drive the sport model and if the price is right place my order. He said it takes about 6-8 weeks for the truck to come in. He did tell me that the $4k was a dealer incentive but at this dealer they pass it onto the buyer so not sure if all dealers will admit to it. Anyway, thanks for "feeling my pain" and the support. I am a happy camper today! Jeff.

I'm getting rediculous financing rate quotes right now. I'm going to wait until February to finalize my order now. I couldn't believe what the banks were telling me!

Well, I pulled the trigger yesterday and have a new 09 Sport Crew in Inferno Crystal Red with dark gray leather interior sitting in the drive. Turns out I could order the ram box now but now they are having issues with their leather supplier. If I ordered leather they would not give me an eta on delivery so I finally said to hell with it. My wife and I both fell in love with the leather and she likes the heated power passenger seat and love the blow some cold air up your *** feature on the drivers side. After having the truck a full day I don't have any reqrets about not getting the ram box now. Guess I didn't really have that much stuff in my current tool box anyway. Only things moving over from the old truck that were in the box are jumper cables, hitch ball for trailer, and tie down straps for the 4 wheelers. The truck is awesome and I will get some pictures as soon as I can find my sons digital camera. This truck represents a few first for me and so far am really happy with it. First red truck, 1st hemi engine. Will find out Thursday how she tows when we go hunting and I tow the trailer with the 4 wheelers on it. Will post pics tomorrow or Sunday. Jeff.

PS - $42,955 list - got for $35,251 + TTL. Interest rate from my bank was 6.4%. My wife and I set up our payments to auto deducted on a biweekly basis. This saves us .5% off the rate.

TXcharger07, actually I'm going to check with the dealer service dept first. I really would like to tow with it but even if it's covered I don't want to have it in the shop already so I will follow their advise. Sorry no picures yet forgot how to upload them but will put them up soon. Jeff.

Damn man, those deals are as good as I can get right now from over here. I might just say fck it and wait until I land in Nevada to buy mine.

Did it take a lot of work to get them low? What's Dodge's rebate right now?
