Default Is this a good price on a 09 Ram?

I test drove a brand new 2009 Dodge Ram Crew cab today, and I was very impressed. This truck is very nice and is a lot better then my 2005 Ram. The truck has a sticker price of $36,500 and they said that they would take $27,000 for it. Does this sound like a good deal?

Yes.

I just traded in my '05 1500 Quad Cab 4x2 (w/Hemi) for a '09 1500 Crew Cab SLT 4x2 (w/Hemi) last weekend. The '09 was stickered at $36k, and they were asking $26k. Out the door, (tax/lic/doc fees) it was $29K. They only gave me what I owed for my '05. Most people are getting around $10k off the sticker.

And btw, I freakin love my new one! (couple pics in my gallery).

Get another $1000 off your best negotiated price. Negotiate a price and show your cert after you arrive at a price. The dealer loses nothing -- it's all paid for by Chrysler, so you should get another $1000 off for the dealer entering in a code.

Not really, someone was asking if they had a good price so I offered to show them a way to save another grand.... I just didn't realize it was a USA-only promotion and he was in CAnada.

That is about what you can expect to pay, about $10K off MSRP. Try to get them to $25K. I bought an 09 Sport Crew two weeks ago that had a $40K sticker, but I was able to get it for $24K plus TTL. It was a demo with 3K miles on it, but at 40% off, I pulled the trigger. Now I have a very clean 02 quad cab to sell.

i just got my 09 hemi crew slt for 27,3xx so yeah that is a good price. they are hurting so bad right now they will pretty much do anything to make a sale. i was in the dealership for almost 5 hours and i only saw one other customer and he was there to pick up his car from service.
