I don't want to badger or keep hammering on this; buyer's remorse sucks. I've bought plenty of stuff I wasn't happy with. But what did you think when you drove the other 1/2 tons? For 27K you could also get a very nicely equipped HD 2500, which with a SFA could really take a beating.

Im not looking for a 4 second truck but when my speedometer says 120 I want it to go 120 like a chevrolet, like a ford like my old 06 ram. Not something sitting there lying to your face saying it can go 120 and advertised as being the fastest truck.

Also im 6'2 210 pounds my long legs dont fit into most cars, I fit in the challenger but the terrain around here and use of my vehicle doesnt get along with cars suspension and weak frames, the roads flood and those shiny little sports cars line the sides of the roads alot places I go are in rural areas with crappy roads where even an all wheel drive car doesnt cut it which is why you see texas highways lined with suvs and trucks.
My Cobra has 473rwhp/468rwtw and never had any issues.

Just because the Odometer shows a certain speed, doesn't mean the vehicle will ever be able to get there. They are simply "Sport" style guages.

I didn't fit in my mustang either being 6'3". I took the seat off and drilled holes 1-1/2" further forwards so the seat sat back an adittional 1-1/2". Never had any problems. I had tons of room.

Unfortunately I have been truck shopping from a distance...however I have researched all options.

I dont do chevy. Period. HD trucks need SFA. and i dont like the 1500s.

I've driven fords all my life and my dads company has over 25 of them ranging from 250 to 750. The 7.3 was a great diesel but the interiors of those trucks sucked. The 6.0 is 'chipped' from the factory and according to research has problems. The 6.0s that i've had for my use have issues. No ford gas motor is worth the money.

Dodge has good interiors but the 5.9s were the last good dodge diesel. The 6.7 is garbage. Similar to ford, the early 2000's had better motors but less 'wife features' and now we have better 'wife features' and ****ty EPA restrictions. Besides, I love navigation, pumping music through good systems, i gotta have the dual zone cuz the wife is always cold, etc etc.

So the 09 Ram is the best option i have right now...and I dont want to wait for the "mystery diesel" for these things to come out.

Oh and if you want a truck to not look like every other truck on the road (since every manufacturer doesnt take styling cues from each other or whats popular, no that never happens), I'll ship you a Bongo from over here. They're quite nice with leather, 4x4, and space for 6 asian men.

What broke on the rear suspension?

They give you 390HP so you accelerate faster, merge into traffic quicker and safer, and over all making driving a large heavy vehicle with - or without a load more pleasant.

The 09 Ram has R rated tires, which are only rated up to 106MPH, that is why you have a speed limiter. The tires have to be able to support the weight of a 5500 lb truck, plus whatever load a person may want to load or pull with the truck. To support more weight you need to run higher pressures which require thicker rubber in the tire. Thicker rubber means the tire weighs more, so there is more centrifugal force acting on the tire trying to rip it apart.

You are lucky dodge even gives you 106 MPH. F-150 to F-350s are limited to 98, and F-450s and up are limited around 86 MPH. New Silverados are also limited to 98.
