My sister once had a room build onto her house, the builder just spliced into the heat and air duct which put the vent in the new room the fatherest from the fan, unless they almost closed some of the vents in the rest of the house you could hardly feel any air moverment at all, I am afraid this may be our problem also, I semi-closed the front vents and the back seem to increase, not the best fix maybe but if you do it right the whole cab should heat and cool at the same rate

I have noticed the same problems with mine. My charger was the same way as well... Not too worried about it though because i'm up front where they do work

LOL, I guess, I'm usually up front also. You know, if the Quad does't have them, the Crew probably won't be much of an issue. But, if you are going to put them in, make sure they work.....or save the money. The crew should not cost $2K more than a quad.

I agree with that completely, why have cosmetic air vents in the back and not functional ones... seems like poor engineering but i try not to think too hard on problems like this that i seem to find AFTER i buy a truck, kinda ruins the whole experience.... still in the shock and enjoyment stage of my new toy..

and when the dealer told me $2k extra for the crew i thought they were lying to me, i mean really.....but after comparing the quad and crew side by side i still bought it....deals were just too good to say no...

i have same problem, bought my ram crew trx back in Nov. great price, great rebate, great $$ taken off sticker. but rear vents have virtully no ventilation. also for the $$$ and the slt package no power seats or sync included in package. they charge more for this slt with less options.

Yeah, but... when I bought mine, there was $7K in factory rebates on the crew and only $4500 (or maybe $5500?) on the quad.

Yeah, my rear vents suck too. You can block the front ones some which helps but should need to. The wifes mini van bows like crazy in the back seat. Both Dodges so they kow how to do it.

It isn't much of an issue though, I am upgrading from an '89 Chevy Crew Cab that had no heat in the back and the kids haven't froze yet...... but I do agree. Why put them in if they don't work? Save the cash.....

Don't get me wrong, I really, really like my truck and am not bashing the product. You'd just think by now that some of these stupid little things could be avoided. Didn't anyone sit in the back seat when they were designing it? Our BMW X5 has back seat air flow vents and you can even control the fan speed! It's no wonder that people think the American product is inferior and choose to buy European or Japanese vehicles.
