Your window sticker should tell you. I ordered the 3.92's and they were listed as an option on the right. The factory gears are listed on the left under standard equipment. This is probably not helpful as I assume you dont have the sticker?

The window sticker is kinda funny on the 09 ram. Most list the 3.21 as standard and then list the option differential. The sport usually does not list the gearing. I have been told that the sport comes with 3.55 unless ordered differently. You can look at the invoice build sheet if it is not listed on the sticker.

The sticker for my Crew Cab lists 3.55 gears as standard. If you don't have your sticker, go to the online inventory for a dealership and pull up a sticker for another Sport. You will be able to see what comes standard.

Sport comes standard with 3.55 and you can option up for $375 to the lsd 3.92. If it donesn't say anything on your sticker you have 3.55

and.....the 3.55 is not limited slip, but the 3.92 is. With the traction control on the new 09 ram, the LSD is not a huge disappointment, but I would much rather have the 3.92. The deal I got on the demo that I bought was too good to pass up. Something had to go and it was the 3.92 gearing.

Go to Moe's Performance and buy a set of either 3.92 or 4.10 and put them in yourself. if you have any kind of ability it's not hard on the 9.25 rear end. I put 4.10 in my 07 from 3.92, what a difference. Better city mileage by about 1.5 to 2 mpg depending on how hard i launched. The tranny didn't seem to be looking for a gear to be in all the time and I only lost about 1 mpg on the freeway. Plus the acceleration was awsome.

Just my 2 cents, I'll be doing my 09 in a couple months.

Is there anything tied to the PCM with regards to the gears if you change them out?
