Default Cold air intakes

I'm interested in going to the Volant Cold Air Intake and getting the ram air scoop that matched up to the SRT 10 hood. Has anybody done this or have any insight?

I'm looking at the XDI. Anyone know or have documentation on whether or not these void the warranty? Ideally I would like something in writing from Dodge that says it does not void the warranty.

/I'll check the forums, I'm sure this is a common question

If they say the air filter caused the problem then they won't honor the warranty to fix the problem. They will do their best to connect the problem to the aftermarket product, even if it had nothing to do with it. Of course all dealers are different but if your dealer is anything like mine, you wouldn't touch the intake.
If the price isn't too ridiculous ( it will be), I'm going with the mopar when it comes out. The dealer will install it!
I've heard too many horror stories about this so-called "lifetime warranty"

Google the magnuson-moss warranty act.

Waiting isn't a bad idea or just throwing a high flow drop-in in the stock setup. The stock intake has very little restriction compared to the previous gen Rams.

I'm waiting it out, until they come up with something that will actually increase performance. They may respond differently with a programmer. If a decent one ever comes out.
