Ordering a truck :)
I spoke with the manager at the dealership where we purchased my husband's 2007 last night about finding us a truck with everything that we were looking for in a truck. He said that he could do that or just order one with everything the way we want it. I told him that I didn't want to order because we don't know if we will strike or not. I didn't want to have $$ down on something that would come in if we went out. He understood that. He said that he had to get his allocations in within the next few days so he could order it as 'sold'. When it came in there wasn't any obligation to purchase it. And IF we did strike, just keep him in the loop and he would keep it tucked in a corner - still labeled as sold. He also stated that if we didn't like his figures and another dealership had better figures, he would send them the truck. Hmmm I think he kinda wants our business.
So, it looks like we will be ordering an 09 Ram 1500 crew cab laramie 4x2
*inferno red - monotone
grey interior
bucket seats
32 gal fuel tank
3.55
receiver hitch
tow hooks
nav system
rear power sliding window
Now lets hope that we don't go on strike

Very cool, its really amazing what dealers will do right now to make a sale. I have kinda been hitting local dealerships looking around, and I have quit going during the day because I was getting bombarded by three or four dealers at a time! I am just kinda treading waters right now and I dont need four dealers trying to get my business.
But nice picks on the truck and good luck with the job thing.
