Question Sport + Leather

Hey all, I have a quick question for you. Today, the wife and I went and figured out what we want for options on a Crew Cab Sport. With out going over them all, I only have one question: in a Sport, if you get leather seats, is it true that the rear are NOT heated and not true leather?
As far as I can read in the brochure, if you get leather seats in any model or cab configuration the rear seats are only vinyl and only to be heated if you get leather in a Laramie.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated as soon as possible as we are going back on Monday with our color choice and the deposit.

Thanks in advance

Sport only has front heated/ventilated seats. Rear heat is not an option.

As far as the rear not being leather. I don't know?

I think it's the only way to get the heated steering wheel which is priceless! It heats up nice and hot and now I'm more aware than ever how ice cold my wheel is in my truck.

If you goto the Dodge site is does say that heated rear is available on the Sport.
Here's the link, just open the point about the heated rear seats:

http://www.dodge.com/en/2009/ram_1500/design/seating/

So now I don't know what to do, if they are heated I will still get leather, if not I'll just get the standard cloth. Reason being is I have 2 kids that are almost always with me and sit in the back.

Just a warning, some are saying there is leather issues with the vented/heated leather seats (wear). May want to stay away from them.

I love my kids too but they will be completely fine without heated seats in the rear! So will anybody else I put in the back of my "Spacious Crew Cab with Leather Trimmed Seats".

I did order the backseat TV for them and at $1695 that should prove I love them. LOL

As far as a problem with the material on the seats, that will get addreses so I would worry.

Don't skip on the from heated seats for you and especially the heated steering wheel!

Have you tried the heated steering wheel yet? If not you should before deciding to give it up.

i had read that it is avialable in "cold weather climates". What and where that is i can't tell you. I would call a New England dealer and ask.

On the Dodge Canada website it shows that the rear heated seats are only available on the Laramie.

On the Sport it also looks like you cannot order the sunroof and rear DVD system together.

Too bad, I really like the look of the Sport model but if you want to get a truck loaded up with all the options the Laramie is the way to go. The Laramie actually ends up being a better deal.

I am not really sure what the Sport gives you other than the monotone paint and different rims which I prefer both over the Laramie.

Well after talking to my dealer and digging around, all I can see is what we have already confirmed. That is, Sport can NOT get rear heated seats, Laramie CAN. In both cases it's not actually leather in the rear seats, it's only vinyl. For the family and myself the Laramie isn't an option, we all like the looks of the Sport too much to not get it. Bummer too, because I was really looking forward to the heated wheel and seats.

You can still get heated seats(front) and wheel in the sport.
