Default $$$ Did I come out ok?$$$

14 months ago I purchased a 2006 BH edition 4.7 4x4 quad 11,000 miles on it, I paid $19000 out the door.

I went in this week to have the rotors turned and a pulsating vibration (tires are all new)??? checked out.

While I was there I decided to take an 09 hemi, 4x4 crew Sport w Leather for a test drive...WOW freakin truck was leaps and bounds better than my 06.

I aksed the salesman how much difference (green slip purchase Dad just retired from Chrysler)

Salesman says $6500 off in incentives
$6000 off for green slip (truck stickered at $45,200)
Tells me I will also get 0% for 36 months.

He goes away and comes back with $16,000 difference pluse tax and title.

So I say how much out the door, he then tells me that he has to charge sales tax on the incentives???( its legal according to chrysler?? who knows?) anyway it comes up to $17,900

I tell him I will go $17,000 plus he pays for the first 3 oil changes. Says no way cant do it.

I get up and head for my 06,,,the sales manager stops me and says "where ya going? I say I am taking my 06 and my $17,000 and heading home. Sales manager says he will drop it to $17,500..I tell him I have changed my mind and I am going to hold off....I am gettin in my truck and he says ok $17,000...I say dont forget the 3 oil changes,,he says its a deal.

I took the 2.9% for 48 months.

So did I do ok? I got $16,000 real cash out of my trade in, I paid $19,000 and drove it 12,000 miles, had it a little over a year.

I'd say thats another stake through Chryslers heart! We've almost put them out of business. Lets keep up the good work! LOL

Sounds like a pretty good deal. Walking away is a good strategy. I had 14,500 off a 43k sticker.

hell of a deal!! I got my lonestar for 27k sticker on it was $38k. Never regret it though, except that color bumper is growing on me, but I still like my chrome. One day I might just price that color bumper and for ****s and giggles get one including the back bumper. On your price sheet you got does it say how much it cost for the added colored bumpers?

man, those deals are getting better each year. youre getting much off a brand new redesigned truck as the old model.
you did great too on getting that trade in value for your old truck. i see 08 hemis 4x4 go for as much as what you got
