Really good piece on the Ram

 

I think that was the first un-bais review I've read. Everybody has been picking Ford because it alledgelly can tow 11,000 lbs. Give me a break, you better not be going up any hills, that 5.4 that they said they boosted the power on is now a whopping 310 up from 300, and the torque 335ft/lbs. Dodge hit it on the head with that 5 link. People in 1/2 pick ups don't need to pull 11,000 lbs...thats what the bigger trucks are for. Mines a kid hauler, dirt bike mover and everyday mode of transportation. I like the smoother ride and am more than willing to give up some towing ability, I'll nerver tow anything close to that same as 85% of the half ton market.

Give credit where credit is due...The 2009 Dodge Ram is a home run!

I just read this when i looked on this forum. Congrats to dodge. I agree, if your gonna be towing 11k pounds get a diesel. I'd rather have fast acceleration under load when i'm merging on the freeway than most towing anyday. If only I could afford one at this time
