Default Rust proofing your truck

Anyone done it? I just bought my 2009 1500 Quad 4x4 last week and my father keeps bothering me about getting it rust proofed by a place called 'Krown'.

http://www.krown.com/#default

What they do is drill wholes in your car or truck and spray inside then plug the holes. Also take the lights off and get behind them, etc. I'm not to thrilled about someone (Prob a student who doesnt give a crap) drilling holes in my new truck then plugging them up. Also seeing the plugs would bother me if their ugly. haha.

Just wondering if anyone would bother with it? I know getting the under body done is a must. But inside the panels and stuff really worth it? Have to get it done yearly.(View the site they show whats done)

I don't think it is neccessary. The new trucks come with a nice corrosion warranty now because all the parts are suppose to be treated already.

I agree with you, I wouldn't want someone drilling into my new truck. And it most likely will void the corrosion warranty

A relative of mine had this done on their last Chevy car. The first place the rust started was around the holes they drilled in the body... I wouldn't do it.

I found a 1971 Challenger that had a similar process done. It worked. The car had no rust where it was treated. I don't know who did it but I think it was in the 70's.

I had mine undercoated by the dealer for a couple hundred. Suppose to also help with interior noise. I have always had each of my vehicles undercoated.

Interior noise?? This has got to be one of the quietest of any truck (or car) that i've been in.

That is not the reason I did it...and I do agree it is a very quiet ride whether the undercoating is helping or not! I just stated what the dealer stated as an extra sell point...
