Neighbor of mine has a 2008 Ford F-150 Crew and his passenger windows go down just about every other day. Could it be a frequency.... neighbors garage door opener? Wireless door bell? I know it sounds stupid but you never know.

I have remote start on my current truck and had it on the '07 and never had that problem. I would also have to guess that it must be something pressing the button in your pocket.

It does shut off after running for 15 minutes without the key being inserted, so at least it won't run for hours or anything.

I'm sure it's just something in my pocket pushing the button, but there is no ring, guard, or recess around the button to keep it from being accidently pressed. I feel it should be redesigned.

I had this happen after having my truck for about 4-5 days. I was sitting on the couch in my aunt's house about 30 yards away from the truck or so indoors and my cousin comes in and asks me why my truck was running.

Went out and turned it off. Hasn't happened before or since so i'm guessing it was just a fluke key press in my pocket.

See! See! I'm not the only one it's happened to! I'm not crazy! I tell you I'm not!

I guess those of us with remote start need to be careful with the fobs in our pockets.

My mitsu montero sport often starts up when my wife vacuums the house or when i'm cleaning the car's carpets while the vacuum is running. Sometimes it starts up and locks me out while I'm trying to give her a bath. "open up you dirty ..."
