After a good 8k miles on the new ram and quite a few days when i see some nice mud, i came to the conclusion after pulling some friends out, that i need some tow hook. Any one on here got some hooks from the dealership that don't want them and would rather have the stock insert where they go? i figured i'd give the forums a shot before i went to the stealership and threw away more money than necessary. let me know... thanks.

 

Don't have the hooks but be sure to check prices at different dealers and even on-line. I have found that different dealers will offer different prices and accessories are usually cheaper (even with shipping and tax) than buying it from the dealer. Of course, you have to wait for it to come! ;0))

 

yeah my sport didnt come with tow hooks either and i think i might go to the dealer tomorrow and see how much they would be

 

i can save you a trip. they are 137.00 plus shipping, and the crappy dealership here said 80.00 for labor. the worst part was they couldn't tell me if the hooks came with a new insert for around them or not. they arent very proficient at the parts dept here in J-ville. i thought about buying them and installing them myself, but i couldn't suffer the thought of having to hack up my new truck, and it looking like franken-truck.
