Rough Country Level Kit or should I leave my truck alone?
OK one thing always leads to another!
I was going back and forth on what size Cooper Zeon LTZ tires to get and decided on the stock size but then I came across Rough Country Leveling Kit in my searching. This truck looks great. They recommend a tire that is 33 x 12.50 so the Coopers in a 275/60/20 are the right height but they are not as wide. It dose not appear like it messes with the truck that much. Just bolt on spacers so I don't know if the dealer could give me any problems with warranty issues? They advertise that the factory ride quality is not affected. It's not to expensive but I don't think I could go with the Coopers? What are your thoughts? I have no experience in leveling/lifting a truck. http://roughcountry.com/suspension/4...500-ram_2.html |
thats the kit im going to go with untill i can afford a big lift.
you can fit 35/12.5 with that kit and no it doesnt do anything to the ride quality but you will have to have it alined after it gets done, and if you know anything about vehicles you can do the install yourself |
2" front spacers...go 35"!

obviously its going to give you a 2-1/2" lift in the front and 3/4" in the back. its deff. worth the 129 dollars and if your going to be getting new tires anyway its always best to get an alinement |

35's look way cooler than 33's...with the 2" lift.

and when you haul or tow anything, your truck will sag horribly in the rear, which is why I've never been a fan of leveling trucks. Not to mention that the steeper angles can be harder on your front components over time.
