Can anyone provide me with some info on what exactly this is, and perhaps what it sounds like?

I believe the "Hemi Tick" has been resolved on the 4th gen motor. I also have an 03 and it does have the infamous "Hemi Tick". If you have a squeek/tick coming from the rear of the motor, you may want to verify if it is coming from the front of the transmission. Could be the torgue converter. If it is coming from the motor, how many miles are on the engine, is it constant (startup to destination or startup to warm up)? Your best bet would be to take it to the dealer but really try to identify exactly where it is coming from first.

i hear it at idle. generally after the engine has warmed up. it's not as bad (it seems) when the engine is cold, but tends to seem worse by the time i make my 7 mile trek to work.
actually can't be heard in the cab, so i didn't notice it until i was up against a wall at the ATM.
odd no one else is hearing it.
it's going to the dealer at the first oil change, and i believe that first oil change is going to be early!
