I have my phone bluetoothed to my radio and it used to work fine, but I noticed this morning that the caller id isnt working. It just says incoming call when my phone rings.

Anyone else have this problem?

Also, how do you get the name to show up on the caller id instead of just the number?

Nope dont have that problem. Maybe its your phone carrier or phone model. Strange how it worked but now it doesnt.

Not sure how to have the name pop up instead of the number either. If someone out there knows how to do that please share.

Any chance the names have to be in your address book to appear? Just a guess.

Mine works sometimes and other times it doesn't. I think its related to your phone. I'm using an iPhone version 2.2.1. Before this version the Caller ID didn't work at all. It just said incoming call. Now it says the name and number. Sometimes!!!

 

What I've noticed is that if you have the number in the mygig address book, name and number will show, if you don't, then just the number. I have 1st gen iPhone with the latest updates.

 

Im going to input the names in my address book and see if that works. If it does ill let you all know. I have the Verizon phone Venus.

 

Be warned that if you have the number in your mygig address book and phone address book, it will show up twice when trying to voice dial. In other words, if you say, "Call John Doe mobile", and you have the name in both address books, it will show up as

1. John Doe
2. John Doe

And the ask you which one you want? Unfortunately one of them might be the "home" number. At least this is my experience.
