It is not that hard to drive an auto.

I searched a 200 mile radius of my area, no RTs on lots. Never seen one on a lot or the road.

That's true. However, nobody is claiming that it's hard, only that it's apparently beyond motor trend. Judging by the results they got with an r/t, beating them is setting the bar rather low, isn't it?

To be fair, they might not have figured out about shifting manually to get 2nd prime involved. They may also not have taken the time to figure out the best way to launch the truck. Those two things alone accounted for 5 tenths between my first pass or two and my best pass.
