Default Washing the Engine.

How does one go about doing this to their Ram? Anyone ever done it to theirs? I just don't want to do something stupid haha.

Figure I will find out how to do it first then decide if i should just take the truck to those Engine wash places and have them do it.

I used to pressure wash my old trucks engine after taking it mudding or something, but I still havn't gotten the nerve to do it on my 05. I have rinsed it with a garden hose and wiped dry but I havn't been mudding so it stays pretty clean.

Cold engine, and you might if you are worried about getting the PCM and ECM wet, cover them with saran wrap or something like that to keep water out.

I haven't washed my 09 yet. But I have always pressure washed all my car or truck engines on regular basis. About once a year if needed. Mean Green, Purple Power ect.. is sprayed on the engine and everything under the hood. A little soak then pressure wash, keeping the nozzle back a little bit. I do mine with the engine running. Cold start.

Then you can hit all the black with your favorite Armoral type protectant. Looks great.

The Purple Power cleans really well, a good de-greaser
