I haven't found the build date yet on my truck, but then I haven't looked but my sticker says 5.7l V8HEMI MDS VCT Engine, so finally I get something good out of buying what I am assuming is an early build.
I don't understand why people are worried about whether it says vct or vvt. I mean, it's not like there's actually a difference in the engines themselves.

The build date is on the tire pressure sticker on your driver door. Look for MDH on the sticker. It stands for month, day, and hour. Hours are listed in military time. For example, mine lists 022014. This translates to February 20, 2:00pm. MDH is also listed on the dealer invoice directly above EP (employee price). My window sticker has VVT Engine and was built at the Warren truck plant.
Okay I bought an old truck man.............this thing has been sitting around since October of last year at 2pm man why didn't anyone buy this. The paint is crappy, really for black I have seen much better.
Anyway I just wanted to know if the VCT and VTT BS was just BS and from working there and acronyms changing all the time. Like name for parts, does anyone know what the boat anchor is on a B Van? or the CHMSL man there were so many names for parts that they escape me oh here is one CRS?
