Even if they go bankrupt, the Dodge or Ram brand will be purchased by another company and they might be required to honor existing warranties as part of the purchase.

Warranties will be covered. Obama assured us they would be covered and we should be safe buying any of the Big 3 vehicles, because no matter what happens, the government or whatever insurer, will back the warranty. That is what Obama said, so take it for what it's worth.

I just got the paperwork done for a 2009 f150 supercrew

Almost cried when I returned my 2006 quadcab 2 days ago

If dodge still leased vehicules, I would gladly rent one since I would have a guranteed value at the end of the lease.

I just cant afford taking the risking of buying a $37000 truck that might have no resale value in 2 years.

now I have the whole weekend to think about all this one last time before I sign the contract on monday

I have been thinking about all possible scenarios for weeks now, and enough is enough, I'll get another dodge in a few year if they are still around..

I'm sure there's a way but how could Chrysler go bankrupt yet still require me to pay my on my truck? I financed through Chrysler Credit.

I know someone is going to say Chrysler Credit is a different company... Right?

I think it is premature to figure out what is going on until we know what is happening next week. I do not want to talk politics but if you trust what Obama says...go ahead. I haven't seen more flip flops since I threw that big salmon on the bank at the Manistee River in Michigan back in '77 where it was having problems deciding which side it wanted dried out first...

I bought a truck cause it was right for me. If Chrysler goes under, there will be many unemployed Dodge mechanics out of a job. I reckon one or two would be more than happy to work on my truck!

...if Chevy and Ford were the only trucks left once the dust settles...I still would buy a Dodge!!!
