yea just use a small flat head and start on the back (away from windshield) and start pullin it out. in the middle there are two clips that feel tough but they will come free with a lil tug. let me know what wires you use. i wanna do the same but no luck so far

Your right it just pops right out. Start at the back to pop the clips, and then it slides back to get the entire system out of the roof.

I used a multimeter and found a switched power lead that controls the rear power sliding window. I just tied into that circuit to power my radar detector, so it turns on and off with the truck. Since it was outputting exactly 12.5 volts with the truck running, I didn't even bother wiring in a fuse. Works perfectly.

Don't remember the wire colors, except that the ground was black. It's a quick job if you have the right tools.

I connected my V1 to the over head console.

As described before, you remove the overhead by pushing it forward.

I found the ground on the connector for the remote opener: Black wire

I found a “plus” after ignition on the rear window sliding button: the pink one

Very easy to find a way for the Valentine connector and there is plenty of room inside the panel for the extra wire.

Just a little bit difficult access for my big hand!

I try to post pictures but it did not work…(as a foreigner I might not understand the forum web thing…) will try again latter….
