Default The first time in my life i was looking to buy a new dodge and they may go belly up

i have been a Ford guy for about 15 years. The last dodge was my girlfriends now wife's POS dodge shadow. Over the years i had alot of friends own the 94-2000 vintage and most had more than there share of problems, less than stellar quality, and guzzled gas like a hole in the tank. Then while looking through the local used car lot at my dodge dealer(thinking of a sweet 06 ford in the lot). the sales man came out and we talked a bit and started talking about the new 09 Dodge 1500 w/5.7 and the smoking deals currently offered. i could spend a little more and have a new truck. So he says well take the ford out for a drive then the new dodge i figure what the heck i had the time. i couldnt believe how far dodge had finally come, it was head and shoulders better than the o6 ford F150 and way better power. Maybe not apples to apples being a 06, but i was hooked i started shopping and found a sweet 09 Ram 1500 5.7 w/the Bighorn and towing package. I want to pull the trigger, but now i hear they are going to they are most likely going bankrupt at the end of the month. I wish i had a better idea what was going to happen i really would like to pick one up. It took 15 years to convert me now the bottom looks to be falling out.

I think the deal with Fiat is going to go...they alreay have deals in place with the Canadian auto workers and are hashing out one with American auto workers. This country is in hard times but the Chrylser will still be standing when all of this is over IMO.

If this is any insurance...I chatted with my local dealer today. He is a good friend of mine. He felt Chrysler will not go under...maybe some big changes, as a worst case scenario...but not go under.

If...IF, they do, he plans to change over to a used car dealer and have his mechanics available to work on all the Dodges he sold.

So, what did I do...jumped in my awesome HEMI and took a little cruise in it before going home from work tonight!

I just feel sorry that I do not give equal time to my 06 Harley sitting in the garage! I might have to give it some attention tomorrow so it doesn't feel abandoned!

Suppose to be sunny and in the 80s this weekend in Ohius!!!
