I've been in heavy snow...flaps do a great job of keeping crap off the body.

Well if you have 10+K miles would you want to take one off to see if the issue that existed in the GEN 3s will occur on the GEN 4?

I've only had mine on for 1600 miles, was debating on non molded ones because of wear into the paint. Already can see some fine scratches. Might be getting differnt ones soon. I did Pad each flap to the paint with topper tape cut very small to border on the flap and paint. Only thing is it will hold moisture. But if it's not down to bare metal, might not worry too much. If I want to cahnge, I'd better do it soon.

With fender flairs? The pictures posted look like no fender flairs. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have the TRX4 and it came with the fender flares. Dealer said the molded OEM's won't work so I had the heavy duty rubber OEM ones installed. The dealer had to do very minimal cutting on them for them to fit properly. They look great and work as well as a mud flap should.

That is enough info for me. I am sticking to my plan in post 5. Well if I get my truck off the production line!

94RT: Were you talking about the molded flaps rubbing the paint on the outside of the fender or at the bottom of the fender. Because the 09's have a peice of plastic at the end of each fender. I am not sure what it is for. I was thinking that it was either for the mud flaps or if you install nerf bars.

I have huskys, which came with pre-cut 3m clear film to go between the flap and that paint.
