Horn Won't Toot
You can't give the horn a quick toot. It will be a longer honk. If you want to give the person in front of you a quick toot-toot to let them know the light is no long red - you can't it will only give them a rude longer honk.
Is this due to the horn relay? Can something be done to get the horn to react faster?

I would think this is the case. But I completly understand where Mark is coming from. If I have to let someone know it is green and to stop sleeping I like to do it somewhat politely.
mine works just fine, the population of extremely old asians and pacific islanders over here is outrageous. They are well known to literally sleep at red lights and go 15mph in a 45. I use my horn alot...

.....well, maybe it's my horn then. I can't get off a couple of quick toots, in fact if you give the horn pad a quick rap, nothing will happen. Or if your raps get a little longer the horn will honk, but at a predetermined length of time (I know it's a short time, but I want it shorter).

I rarely use my horn. Only time I use it is in those annoying little towns that put speed bumps in every 20 yards. They get a nice long blast over each bump and, I must say, Minerva is satisfyingly loud.
