Default Anyone notice aluminum rails inside Bed of Rambox ?

On my rambox, there are rails inside the bed of the truck where the cleats sit for the 'cargo mangement system'. the cleats move up and down the rail and fall into cut out slots so you can tighten the cleats down ...

Has anyone noticed that the rail almost looks as if it were designed to accomodate a bed cover of some sorts ?.. maybe a future mopar after market part .. that would have already been around had chrysler not went bankrupt ??

I wish i could get my hands on that cover if thats what chrysler had in mind .. id love to cover my bed with something designed from factory ..

I have since also decided to spray in linex in the bed .. its expensive but a requirement in my opinion .. considering a drop in liner isnt coming anytime soon.

According to the owners manual there are ram box accessories that are available from the dealer. The only thing I could find online though is the dividers for inside the ram box to make compartments, also flat panels that cover the wells on either side of the wheel well. I too was looking for the bed cover that fits in that rail or maybe even a pop up bed tent. I haven't asked my dealer yet but I already have some 1/4" black plastic that I will be making my own dividers out of so that stuff doesn't slide off the top of wheel well. Jeff.

Hey ChrisP929-
Try These guys. The customer service is GREAT! Call and ask for Jason at EXT 111. Ask him what is his best number for this. I will be ordering one soon. Tell him Mike De. from Dodge Forum asked you to give a call. ( he may not remember all my calls, but he'll give u a deal). LMK.

Go with the bedrug, easy to install and looks and even feels nice, acid proof, oil proof, hoses off, its great. Was 420 or so with employee discount including tax.
