Default Went to the track

O.K. went to the track. and ran a 15.1 all night long. Here is the kicker. I forgot to take off the traction control. So 14.9 would have been possible. Not happy about it. Truck is not broken in yet only has a 1,000 miles. Only mods are custom true duals (magnaflow/stock cats/resonators still on), True flow XDI intake. I really cant believe i forgot to take the traction control off but oh well Im used to driving stick and not having to worry about it. next time I will be in the high 14's. I never tried the 2nd prime thing either. I made 4 passes.
Truck is a 4x2 crew sport with 3.92's.

I hate traction control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So how many out there that are "racing" are concerned about warranty issues? Especially, in trucks that are not fully broken in yet?

3.4 Racing Not Covered
Your warranties don’t cover the costs of repairing
damage or conditions caused by racing, nor do they
cover the repair of any defects that are found as the
result of participating in a racing event.

As close to stock as all the 09's are, I doubt too many are losing a bunch of sleep over it. At this point, it would really be pretty hard to run an '09 much harder than it can be run on the street, as there are so few meaningful modifications available for it.

You may have already posted this info somewhere and i didn't see it, so i apologize if so, but tell me about the "true" duals you put on. Did you find stainless or did you use aluminized pipe? Did they start at the first "Y" off the engine? Cost?
Thanks.

Engines are broken in when you get them now days. Your time confirms my thoughts on "someone's" time.

They are tuned for gas mileage, they have to meet government requirements and they used to have a California emissions special but they all run on the California emissions now. Ya go back to the 70's and 60's if you want gas burning huge carbed, bumpy cam cars and trucks.
