Yep, I have pickling on the roof which is more likely sand in the line when they sprayed it. It looks like they missed a clear coat spot on the hood near the windshield. I also have speckle rust spots everywhere which they say rail dust but I clay barred and it came back. I took it to the dealer to clay bar and they had it for over 8 hours and only got the recall stuff done when it was supposed to go in for clay bar. It's been a mess here.

My 04 Dak had a run in the paint and some light spots on the hood. Living with that is better that a new paint job IMO. I lived with it, I'm the only one that noticed it.
My 09 Silver paint looks chuncky under the clear. I just assume that is the way it's supposed to be. Yes, I found some dust under the clear. To me it's no big deal. Getting it painted would probably wind up with more. Nothing is perfect like I want, but over all, it could be worse..

I wouldn't accept repainting and they're not going to replace my entire hood for 1 dot. I'm not even slighted by it really, I just think blanket statements like 'why discuss this on a forum, just take it to the dealer' is ignorant.
Ok so why bitch about something if your not going to accept the solution to the problem.

Who said I was bitching, I already said I was going to fix it myself. I merely commented to the OP that I found some of the same issues with my paint, thus the topic of this thread.

The worst paint I have ever seen on any vehicle...one of my pet peeves but I will wait till I need paint to bother, I prefer factory paint. Even though it has 5 spots that well they tried to get out but didn't. I will live with it since the mess I will probably get back will be worse. If I could take it where I want then it would be a different story.

My tail gate is at the dealer right now getting re-painted. It had half a dozen or so "spots" on it that looked like someone was bouncing a tennis ball off it before the clearcoat was applied/dried. The body shop manager noticed it before we even left his office to look at it. All of course covered by the waranty!

I am thinking about taking it back to the dealer. Mine has a few spots that have dirt in the paint or drips. I also have red showing through the silver two-tone. I can live with it though, it is a daily driven truck, not a show truck.

The new dent in my two tone does not help either.
