Exhaust setup
I am in the market for an aftermarket exhaust and will probably have it custom made because i have gotten some decent quotes. I have the single exhaust and from what i have seen under my truck the exhaust dumps out from the heads into the header through a cat for each bank and then into a single collector. It all looks like one piece but i have not looked that hard yet. I was hoping to do an X-pipe setup but with a single collector I don't think this will be possible. For those of you with the factory duals, is it a true dual setup or is it a Y-pipe configuration?
At present my plan is to have a one into two magnaflow muffler with the pipes tucked up mostly out of view and dumping just behind the axle. For those of you who already have an aftermarket exhaust, how bad is the drone inside the cab? Also any input on a good setup will be noted and considered. Thanks ya'll.

I'm pretty sure this has all been covered in some length in other threads. Might want to do a quick search.
Drone is very relative.... My wife thinks even a Magnaflow has too much drone but others think that a Flowmaster has *******ly no drone. It'll be best if you can listen to some trucks in person and decide for yourself.

The dual outs are just that. Muffler is single in, dual out. Everything from the motor to the front muffler clamp is the same regardless of single or dual tailpipes. MDS is where you're likely to have the most drone issues.
