Default Winter (I know, bad word) rims and tires

After reading about how pi$$ poor the Goodyear Wrangler HPs perform in the snow, I'll probably get winter tires.
The winter tires will not likely be available here until August. They will likely be pricey in the 20" variety (compared to my last truck with 17").

That's not really the issue; I want to have dedicated rims for the winter. Less wear and tear on the rims changing the tires twice a year. Now, the question is do I use the stock, plastic covered rims for my winter tires and get some true alloy rims for the summer or buy steel rims (argh ) for the winter?
I as others have mentioned, did not even realize the rims were plastic facias until I got the truck home!
My ideal (for cost reasons) would be to find a used set of alloy rims (preferrably shiny like the stock rims) at a good price and then put my stock tires on them for the summer and use the 'plastic' ones for the winter.
Any thoughts?
What do I look for (specs, backspacing, etc) in a used set of 20" rims?
Any help is appreciated. Last couple of winters there have been days when only 4x4s can get down my street. Takes plow sometimes 2 days to come by after a big dump of snow.

Not rich - buying this beatiful truck was a stretch for me. Now to look at $2K+ for rims and $1K+ for tires puts me over the edge.

Or if there is a place to buy them for less than the dealer?

Wait, Tirerack.com has winter wheel and tire packages starting at about $1,100 but can be more if you get expensive wheels. Plus they let you view any wheels on their website on a truck of your color to see how they look.

Thanks guys. I know I'm jumping the gun big time, but I need the time to find a great deal.
I love tirerack.com for all their reviews and info, but by the time I get their products to Canada, I'm in for almost double with exchange rate, duty, customs, etc.
I'm going to check out eBay though. I had not thought of that.

Tirerack suggests 17" or 18" for winter. I like the look of the 20s though.
Comments?
I looked on eBay, but they are all either too 'fancy' or too expensive.

Big Fishman: Thank you for the research. Big help.

You'll have to do some rather careful research - both the tires and the rims - for proper or even "possible" fit. The eBay offering listed above is for 20x9 rims, but the stock are 20x8 (and stock tires have only about .5in clearance from top A-arm knuckle). The TirePro.com example is suggesting 18x8 with 265/70R18 - which are about .5in shorter than stock (2% Speedometer diff - not too bad).
But, by later this year (Fall?), more After Market suppliers should have their '09 Ram information straightened out and their product lines and inventories better filled out. So, shopping should offer more - and more reliable - options.
