New wheels are on!
All I want is to get hooked up with this buddy that has a tire shop. Hell I won't mention your name if you don't want, in fact I don't want to. Might get a better deal once he see's I haven't spend thousands on things to create your own make and model pretty much. Does he have other kinds of rims like chrome or alloy? Why the secrecy? Hell man I have a week before I need a passport to get back into my country. So I have to get over and see what kinda deal I can make. I don't want to give up my rims though I want to just buy some either 20" nice for summer or 17/18 crappy steel or some just fugly rims like the ones for 225 for winter and keep my plastic for summer.

If only I'd suspected how much a set of "made in China" stock silver take-offs were really worth...maybe I coulda worked an extra $50 on the deal.

Meaning that a smart tire shop knows how much stock rims are worth for folks who smack them up on curbs. I'd be shocked if your new rims were not also made in China - not that it really matters.
Also, meaning that I avoided border duty/tax/brokerage & the selling/shipping hassle. The majority of cast alloy wheels originate in China, including Forte'. Imagine working conditions/pay in a Chinese foundry...you can bet Chrysler pays less than $99 per wheel. Wonder why the North American economy is in the toilet?
