Has anyone heard of these VentShade In-Channels falling off due to the adhesive not sticking? They look great but the accessories shop that I talked to advised against them. Something about the adhesive not sticking to the felt like material and falling off while driving with the windows down.
Not sure if the guy knew what he was talking about.

I've had mine on for about 3 weeks now and no problem with them. (Need to get updated pics.)

I haven't put any on my Ram yet, not sure I need them as I quit smoking in March. But the in-channels on my last truck (Titan) didn't use any adhesive, they wedged in the channel and were no problem.

I installed in-channels on a friends car, and they did not use any tape

You are probably right. I would need to hold up each one to see what looks best. Since I have the chrome package it was a thought. But I will think some more. Thanks.

I am getting them the only thing I heard from an aftermarket shop was the in channel, create a stress on the motor when going down right at first, caused by the tightness of the fit while up in the channel, dont know if this is true, sounds feasable..never had in channel before.. this was not an 09 dodge he was speaking about, but another brand

Those look really good. I always liked the in channel compared to the ones that stick on with adhesive.

My brother has a set on his 03 Ram and he has never had any problems with them or his windows. The window on the drivers side does grind a little against the visor when you roll it up but it has had no negative affects.

I just got the avs' for the 09 crew cab and to my surprise they do have tape on them. Not as much as the non-channel mount but it's there. My weathertec's on my cruiser had a tiny little strip of adhesive (not really tape).

The install went pretty well but the first one I did was the driver's side and I didn't quite get it right on the front end, it dips ever so slightly more than it should. Hard to notice but I know it's there. Auto-up didn't like 'em at first but left the windows up for 24 hours like it says to do and they work fine now.

Do you think that window tint might be effected when the windows are rolled up? I would think that they would rub on the outside of the window but not sure if the tight fit would make a tint job peel or scratch.
