I was disappointed to see that they don't offer a similiar setup for the regular box. I like the way that the Rambox bedextender can get completely out of the way.

love my ramboxes i use them all the time so they were worth it,i agree they could be cheaper.also my only peeve about them is dodge offers a management system for them and wants to charge you $100 for it in my opinion it should be included but everyone has different opinions for me i couldnt see paying $2000 for navigation when a $200 tomtom or garmin does the same thing

2) RamBox comes with a great Locking Bed Divider / Bed Extender that provides significant functionality and turns your 5'7" bed into about 7' of useful length.
3) RamBox comes with integrated Load Management System (rails/tie-down), so add in $150+.
4) RamBox is well integrated into the lines and flow of the 09 Ram Crew Cab, while most Sleeper Toolboxes are utilitarian "blocks" that poke up above the bed rails and is rarely color-matched or blended to the truck. (personal choice / personal style)

Does this make the value match the $1500+ cost - still no... But in at least my case, the purchase decision was based on more than the overall $500-750-1000 price differential. And I'm quite happy with my decision, and expect to continue so through years of usage. (ymmv)

This issue is covered by a "rapid response transmittal" to dodge dealers. The box lids have to be inspected for warpage and replaced if warped. The heat causes the black plastic lids to expand because air has no means of escape..

Oh and don't forget you also get the bed extender/divider which I definitely like. With the deal on my truck (approximately 30% off MSRP), I really paid about $1326.50 for the RamBox option. I love it and have had NO warpage issues. I'm sorry if some of you don't like the RamBox but it's a very useful feature. Another reason why Chrysler will survive and is MUCH better than Ford...INGENUITY!! Chrysler has just had bad management but they are very innovative!

Love live the Ram!

I was just stating my observations. As mentioned, I have neither as I rarely have the need for the extra storage. Even with the 35.46% I got off my truck, it still seems pricey, to me, but clearly for some of y'all it was worth it. For me the only time I need the full bed capacity is when hauling dirt, rocks, mulch, etc. and whether i give up the space up front to a toolbox or on the sides to the ram boxes is about the same to me.

I also have no need for a bed extender (a strap and the tailgate down works for me). That's why they give us options. The only two options I skipped were nav and the ram boxes b/c I didn't feel the prices were justified.

First off nice truck, good color choice. Have the same in the Laramie CC.

Regarding the warpage, was yours around the release / lock button? Exterior, correct? Looking down the side of the truck did they look "wavey" around the release button and along the top edge? I just looked at mine and both sides are a little "wavey" or warped if you will. Are the new one's free of waves / warpage?

As for the concept and functionality....the best option I have ever had on a truck! I keep my golf clubs, shoes, ***** in one side and work gear, tow straps, etc on the other with plenty of room to spare. My golf bag is not a stand bag nor a cart bag, and OGIO in-between bag and it fits perfectly! The addition of the bed extender with slots is genius!

Overall I love the storage option on the new Ram's, inside and out.

Thanks for any information regarding the warpage. Depending on responses I plan on visiting my dealer and getting new one's put on. I worry about the black metallic paint matching though.

Do any of you have a plastic liner in the pan of the ram box. I ordered a truck yesterday and asked to have a plastic liner in the pan instead of spray in liner as a spray in liner does not prevent the pan from getting dented up .
