Default Back up camera & tilting side mirrors

I bought the 09 Ram Crew Cab with the Laramie package about a week ago and I have one thing that is driving me a little crazy. I have the back up camera which I love but when you put the truck in reverse the side mirrors automatically tilt down. I'm sure the purpose of this is so you have better visability but I have my mirrors set perfectly for me and don't need this feature. It actually messes me up more than it helps. Does anyone know if there is any way that this feature can be turned off?

I do have to say, with the Laramie package in particular, this truck has EVERYTHING and it has to be one of the best all around vehicles I have ever seen. The sticker was $52k and I got if for $38K. If someone else made this truck like Land Rover or some other luxury brand name, I think this thing would sell for 70K. I have bought a new Ram every year the last 5 years and I think they out did themselves this time. Just my opinion of course.

Have you checked the dash computer for a disable setting?

Go to "options" in the evic display. Scroll down and you will find the option to turn this off.

The feature is less lovable when the mirrors are jammed up with snow or ice

They have defrosters, but it's not like you hop in the truck start it up and the ice turns to water before you put it in reverse

Havn't had this truck long enough to know, but in my pevious car it was more of a defogger than anything that could melt much snow.

As for the remote starting, I've never had it. Might be nice on those -20 F mornings in January.
