Got a call from AEM today about my truck on the dyno

Doc that is pretty strange that the guy didn't know about the MDS, but like sarguy said it shouldn't kick in under heavy throttle on the dyno. Well if they ever get you some numbers from the dyno post them up w/ a pic of the AEM intake. As for the filter debate this page has tests on almost every major filter brand http://thetruthaboutfilters.com/ since it's on S&B's site and they haven't been forced to take it down it maybe worth looking at.

I could not leave my truck there, like we both said how many pulls are they doing, if taking this long I would say one a day probably at the very least yikes, and they little black box know this, if you bring it in with an engine that looks older than it should they will pull the equivalent of a planes black box and check up on what has been going on. Insurance asked if I wanted the "blank" i forget the name when my son was in an accident with another driver no witnesses.....all it would save me was 500 bucks and my accident forgiveness rating but if it turns out his fault!!!!
Maybe I will try one of those other deals, guy was lucky to fall into a test like that. Nothing good like that ever happens to me, but then I guess you have to live in the right place or be at the right show.

I can't believe these companies would take the chance and borrow someones truck, what if they blow the motor....how many dynos the really pulling, like how many are good for your truck?
i assure you maybe, at the most 10 pulls. we are not talking a fuel proggramer that can be changed a 100 different ways. this is a bolt on. either it goes up or down on hp period.
72combo: im also with you on this. at first i wanted to get an intake. ive decided not to. i mean realisticly im not going to be racing guys on the street with my 3 ton pickup!lol. so i just popped in a k&n drop in filter. now personally i have yet to experience or hear of anyone messing up their motor because of a k&n drop in. i personally have a 12yr. old ranger 4cyl with 140k on it with a k&n with no problems whatsoever.......
