Vehicles with 5.7L engines equipped with Multiple Displacement System (MDS) must use SAE 5W-20 oil. Failure to do so may result in improper operation of the Multiple Displacement System (MDS). Refer to Multi Displacement System under Starting and Operating for details. Refer to the engine oil filler cap for the recommened engine oil viscosity for each vehicle.

I'm probabally just going to have the dealer do the oil changes on this one. Not willing to trust the Valvoline barrel of the day at instant oil change if the engine is picky about oil.

Actually, the dealers have been known to dump any old oil they have into the Hemi's.

A lot of the test results on S&B's site are interesting like how the AEM dryflow doesn't do as well as S&B's or anywhere close to as good as AEM claims, yet many on Bob is the Oil Guy users swear by them over k&n and have it backed up w/ UAO's. Amsoil's numbers are also very interesting as it doesn't filter nearly as well as they claim and not even as good as the AC delco (according to S&B tests) and it also flows poorly. The one filter that tops S&B and also has at least 10% better flow than OE filters is airaid which is oiled cotton w/ a layer of sythetic for the finer particles. It is really hard to know what numbers to trust given the various manufacturer's numbers on filtration and the fact that they are all quite different on the same ISO 5011 dust test. I'm not in a really dusty area but sometimes where I work there is equipment kicking up a lot of dust so I am a little concerned about filtration. I am currently running a true flow open filter, and I know the true flow did bad on S&B's site but I think it was b/c the filter for the vehicle in that test is far too thin (the thicker the foam the more it can filter). Hopefully once I get a UAO I will know if this true flow filter is worth the money I paid for it.

Yea well true flow's video is pretty convincing to push people away from k&n, but it could just be BS.

Like I stated, if I am wrong about my K&N, I will let everyone know.

I want to see for myself since it is not a whole lot of money to test.

I agree it may just be marketing. I'm still 4k miles away from sending in my oil for a UAO but I will try to remember to post it here.

I noticed they used water instead of air for the test. With that said wouldnt the oil on the K&N filter cause it to restrict flow and clog up easy since oil and water dont mix?

They use air, the pressure is measured in inches of water. A weather barometer uses inches of mercury.
