2009 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 Stereo Install Update
I might add a sub and a nice pair of 3.5" speakers in the dash (although they look like they would be a bitch to mount). After i get everything ive got installed i will see how it sounds.

I am in everthing I have listed about $1600. List is closer to $3000. I am a deal hound and found my equipment for really good prices. It takes a little patience and shopping around but some greast deals can be found. it took me about 3 months to design and finalize what I wanted to do. To me what I have installed is well worth what I have spent. Dodge wants $1625 alone for two monitors in headrests.
There is no comparison between the factory Alpine system and an aftermarket one. Don't get me wrong the Alpine is a good system, BUT really lacks in the subwoofer. I chose the Diamond Audio & Bostons because I have owned them in the past and prefer their sound and build quality. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE FINISHED PRODUCT. I pulled out my SPL meter to see what I had and was surprised when I pulled 128db
of clean clear awesome sound.
No, I don't listen to it that loud but in the immortal words of "Spinal Tap" its nice to know it goes to "11".
Best thing is you can't see any of it because it is in all factory locations.
Here is what I have installed to date:
REN- Headunit (Bought as a new pull)
Lockpick v2 (video out to two Sony 8" Dvd Monitors)
Video booster
Diamond Audio 90x4 to Diamond Audio 6x9's in doors (dynamat behind) and Diamond Audio tweeters in dash
Diamond Audio 400x1 to two Boston G210 subs in custom .5 cubic ft boxes
Audiocontrol 3xs Crossover
2.0 farad Capacitor
PAC CHR-3 plug in line out adapter (no splicing)
1/0 power cable from Battery to splitter
wired with Monster cable interconnects and speaker wire
If I can answer any questions please feel free to contact me.

^^^ not to call BS on ya but you might want to be careful what you claim. To increase by 3db you have to double the power. And this creates a perceived double in volume. 400w is not going to produce 128 db. Are related to. . . never mind
Some read "volume" some read "pressure". I know alot of speakers designs are able to create clear sound and volume. 400w is a good happy medium that would create plenty of volume for most people and still have good sound quality. To get that kind of number from 400w you would be clipping like crazy which would actually drop pressure db. Get it checked from a reputable calibration "place". The manufactures sometimes go generous. Looking at the setup I'm sure it sounds great though.
