I would like a thread for people who have done cheap modifications to their trucks.

examples are painted interior pieces, debadgeing, tail light tints, hids, speaker upgrades, bulb upgrades (such as interior bulbs swithed to led), or any other great idea that could be done for around a $100 or cheaper

talk about your results and if your happy with it or not. also about ease of mod...

in fact one of the mods i did that i like a lot actually made me money.. when i took off the hanging hitch under my rear bumper and sold it... made the back end a lot cleaner

My ST didn't come with keyless entry. Thanks to Inbred I got a $29 keyless entry from Sam's Club. Easy install works great!

Seriously if already have power locks and did not get lucky enough to have the post Dec/08 build and have a locking tailgate you can put a pace edwards power lock which I haven't installed yet but have looked it over, I am just waiting for some more dust and stuff to stick to the bottom of the truck, I had to get the oil spray done before 2 months of ownership so....it is really greeeeeeeeeeeeeesy under there and I have the run a wire along the drivers frame. Now the instructions look reallyclear, and you can call them if you are not sure they will help you. I was going to do it one day and something came up, so I had already laid it out had it all in my mind to do...easy for just under a hundred plus shipping. I will say it looks like it will do the job I will update if any problems occur.

 

I can't say for sure butI think KEWL is a Canadian accent like ******** say "hey Mang *** from around here" one of those accent type things or like we Canuks say Canucks for one but also how we verify something with the famous "eh"

 

Debadged mine, looks much better now. Easy to do, just time consuming. I use fishing line to get the badges off and then my thumbs and fingers to get the double sided tape off without scratching the paint up.

 

i am going to remove the b-pillar blackout on mine soon. i realized the other day that it is just black tape.

 

I have the sport version and on the window sticker has delete b pillar blackout............so ya man go for it, looks much nicer all one colour.
